Stayed at home for New Year's

I've figured out the spot between the kitchen and the living room where I can bash my head against the wall repeatedly without any of the guests seeing me, but without them thinking I've left the party.

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE EVERYONE!

Don'ts and Do's #2: Cartoons (Not for kids)

DON'T: Watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I used to think this show was hilarious, then I realized I had only ever watched it when I was half-asleep. With some rare exceptions, ("Handbanana", for example), it's not worth your fifteen minutes.DO: Watch Archer. 60s style, a decent storyline, good writing, and the lead voice acting of H. Jon Benjamin, who should have been getting this kind of work years ago.

Don'ts and Do's #1: "Columbine" Movies

DON'T: Waste an hour watching Gus Van Sant's Elephant. Pretentious, technical, and shooting for a misguided independence from real-life events. Fails to create sympathy for anyone, victim or perpetrator.

This movie made $10,000,000 on a $3,000,000 budget.

DO: Watch Zero Day - a stark, simple and unpretentious film, made in a found-footage style referencing Harris and Kleibold's own video diaries. Chilling and bold.

This movie made $8,000 back on its $20,000 budget. You can see it for free on the web.
